Write something of your own. Receive something written for you. Leave with something to keep.
Keepsake Soirée is a slow, beautiful early-evening social by Poetry O’Clock, shaped around letter-writing, live typewritten poetry from our poets and thoughtful connection.
Guests write letters by hand with feather quill pens, guided by the edition’s theme, then seal their words with wax and stamps. Alongside this, Poetry O’Clock poets create live typewritten poetry for guests, shaped from a thought, memory or feeling they choose to share.
You do not need to be a writer, poet or “creative person” to come. This is for anyone who loves beautiful experiences, gentle conversation, personal keepsakes and a softer way to meet people.
Theme: A Letter to My Younger Self
There are versions of us we continue to carry.
The one at nine, still learning what the world expected of them. The one at fourteen, trying to belong without losing themselves. The one at nineteen, standing at the edge of becoming. The one at twenty-five or twenty-eight, old enough to look composed but still quietly asking for reassurance, clarity or softness.
This edition is an invitation to return to one of those versions with tenderness, honesty and care. Not to correct the past. Not to explain everything away. But to sit beside who you were with softer eyes and offer words they may not have had then.
For this edition, refreshments will be curated with The Social House in a high-tea style format, designed to complement the early-evening pace of the gathering.

One keepsake begins with your own hand. One is created for you by a Poetry O’Clock poet. Together, they become the pieces you carry home from the soirée.
This is your letter-writing moment. You will write a letter by hand with feather quill pens, guided by the edition’s theme, then seal it with wax and stamps. The writing is reflective and journal-like, not a creative writing exercise. It is less about sounding poetic and more about giving yourself time to slow down, gather your thoughts and place something honest onto paper. Your letter can be tender, simple, messy, private or deeply personal. It only needs to feel true to you.
Handwritten by You
Alongside your own letter, Poetry O’Clock poets create live typewritten poetry for guests during the soirée. You will share a thought, memory, feeling or prompt, and one of our poets will turn that moment into a poem written on a vintage typewriter. As the evening unfolds, the room carries the quiet clack of keys, the movement of paper and the anticipation of receiving something made for you in real time. The poem is given to you as a Poetry O’Clock keepsake, shaped from what you brought into the room.
Typewritten for You
All you need to bring is yourself. The rest is prepared for you.
You’ll be guided through the edition’s theme with simple prompts designed to help you reflect, journal and write a letter with ease. This is not about writing beautifully for others. It is about slowing down with your own thoughts and creating a letter that feels personal to you.
Each guest receives selected materials for the experience, including paper, feather quill pens, stamps, envelopes and wax seals. These materials are part of the ritual of the soirée. The feather quill pen slows the hand. The wax seal invites care. The stamp and envelope turn your letter into something you can keep, protect and return to later.
Each guest receives live typewritten poetry created by a Poetry O’Clock poet during the gathering. Your poem is shaped from a thought, memory, feeling or prompt you choose to share. It is written in the room and given to you as a personal keepsake, carrying the texture of the typewriter and the intimacy of being listened to.
Each edition includes light refreshments curated for the venue, theme and pace of the gathering. Some editions may also include A Note from the Room, a small in-room exchange where guests write a few words for someone else and receive a note in return. Together, these moments give the soirée space to breathe: conversation, care and a gentle reminder that connection can happen softly.
A few helpful notes before you reserve your seat or join the next edition.
No. Keepsake Soirée is open to anyone.
You do not need writing experience, poetry knowledge or a perfect idea before you arrive. The experience is gently guided, and the writing is closer to letter-writing and journaling than creative writing. You can write something simple, honest, tender, quiet or private.
Each edition is shaped around a theme.
Guests write letters by hand using selected materials, spend time with feather quill pens, envelopes, wax seals and stamps and receive live typewritten poetry created by Poetry O’Clock poets. There is also time to settle in, connect, read, reflect, enjoy light refreshments and leave with personal keepsakes from the gathering.
The exact rhythm may shift slightly from edition to edition, but the experience is always hosted and guided throughout.
Yes. Each ticket includes live typewritten poetry created for you by a Poetry O’Clock poet.
Your poem will be shaped from a prompt, memory, feeling or thought you choose to share during the gathering. You do not need to share anything too personal unless you want to. A simple thought, word, memory or feeling is enough.
The live typewritten poems are created by Poetry O’Clock poets during the soirée.
Guests write letters by hand using the selected materials provided for the edition, while our poets create the typewritten poems. This allows you to experience both parts of the gathering: something handwritten by you and something typewritten for you.
No, not in the traditional sense.
There is gentle guidance, but Keepsake Soirée is not a class, critique session, poetry lesson or creative writing workshop. It is a letter-writing and live typewritten poetry social: part reflection, part keepsake ritual, part social evening.
The focus is not on being “good” at writing. The focus is presence, connection and leaving with something meaningful.
No. Sharing is optional.
Your letter belongs to you first. You may choose to keep it private, share a small part of it or simply seal it and take it home. The experience is designed to feel gentle, not exposing or performative.
Yes. You can come alone, with a friend or with someone you love.
Keepsake Soirée is designed to feel welcoming either way. There will be guided moments and soft opportunities for conversation, so you do not need to arrive with a group to feel part of the gathering.
It is also a space for meeting people differently: through letters, beautiful materials, shared presence and the simple act of being in the same room with others.
Yes. Each edition includes refreshments curated for the gathering.
The refreshment format may vary depending on the theme, venue and style of the edition. Details specific to the current edition will be shared on the page or with guests before the event.
Keepsake Soirée is held in editions, with each one shaped around a different theme.
New editions are usually announced at the beginning of the month. Tickets close 5 days before the gathering, or earlier if all seats are reserved.
If an edition is fully reserved, you can join the priority list.
The priority list gives you first notice if a seat opens and early access when the next edition is announced.
Tickets are non-refundable, but they may be transferred to another guest if you are unable to attend.
Please contact us in advance with the new guest’s name so we can update the attendance list.
Seats are limited for each edition so the gathering can remain intimate, guided and personal.
Come for the letter-writing. Come for the live typewritten poetry from our poets. Come for the pleasure of feather quill pens, wax seals, envelopes, typewriter keys and an early evening spent in thoughtful company.
