We invited Poetry O’Clock to be part of our event and it ended up being one of the highlights. The poets carved out these small, meaningful moments for guests in the middle of the buzz. At Poetry O’Clock, each poem is typed on a vintage typewriter. The sound of the keys, the pace, the paper and the waiting are all part of the experience. It’s not rushed, not rehearsed and never copied. It’s a small moment of attention, made tangible.
When you find us at an event, pop-up, wedding or gathering, you’re invited to share a word, feeling or thought. Sometimes our poets may ask one or two gentle questions to better understand what you’re holding.
You can wait nearby or walk around and within about 5-10 minutes, you’ll receive a typewritten poem created just for you. It’s yours to keep.
Yes. Every poem is written from scratch, every single time.
Even if two people offer the same word, the poems will never be the same. Our poets respond to your presence, your answers and the moment itself. No templates. No repeats. Just attention and care.

We take into account details like location, duration, number of guests and the type of experience you’re envisioning. We’ve written poems at intimate gatherings and larger celebrations alike. What matters most is that it feels aligned, thoughtful and meaningful on both ends.
Yes.
Through our Private Commission section, you can request a poem written for a loved one, a friend or anyone you’re thinking of. We can type the poem, package it and send it directly to them. As long as they have a P.O. Box address, we can mail it. For recipients within Kenya, local delivery options are available.

Simply enter the recipient’s details instead of your own at sign-up and The Post will be sent directly to them. Many choose to give it as a quiet, ongoing gift.

Poetry O’Clock exists to bring back the feeling of receiving something real. At live sessions, you may receive your poem directly or choose to have it placed in an envelope and sealed. Mailed poems arrive carefully packaged, ready to be opened slowly.

Everything ordered through our shop or requested through commissions can be delivered. We always communicate clearly to confirm addresses and details, so nothing feels uncertain or rushed.

Poems written for you are private by default. They belong to you.
We only share poems publicly if we’ve received clear permission. Private commissions and personal poems are never shared without consent.
